Before your treatment, Restorative Medspa’s aesthetic physician, Dr Asma Ghafoor, will consult with you to determine your suitability for treatment and understand your specific skin concerns. She will then apply a topical anesthetic and use the Contour TRL laser resurfacing device to target a powerful laser beam onto the treatment area. The treatment is painless, although you may experience a slight snapping sensation as the beam is moved across the treatment area.
The NanoLaserPeel takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated – quick enough to fit into your lunch break! Most clients need only 1-3 hours of downtime post-treatment, and will recover fully in 2-3 days. You may experience mild redness and swelling that is similar to the sensation of sunburn, but this will usually resolve in a few hours.
You will begin to notice results 3-5 days after your treatment as your dead skin naturally flakes off to reveal a glowing, clear, revitalized complexion. Your results will become most visible after about a week. Most clients are able to achieve their desired results within 1-3 treatments, although some choose to incorporate a NanoLaserPeel into their regular skincare regimen, booking sessions 6-8 weeks apart.
MicroLaserPeel Skin Resurfacing
The MicroLaserPeel uses the same Contour TRL laser resurfacing technology as the NanoLaserPeel, but targets deeper layers of the skin for a more dramatic reduction in the signs of aging. If you can afford a slightly longer downtime and are looking for transformational results, this is the treatment for you!
The MicroLaserPeel is a highly effective treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmented lesions, uneven skin tone, scarring, enlarged pores, and skin volume loss. For a laser peel that delivers exceptional skin restoration, this is your go-to: in a few sessions, you’ll notice a remarkable reduction in skin imperfections, fine lines, and wrinkles, and will benefit from a clearer, brighter, rejuvenated complexion and plumper, firmer skin. This version of the Contour TRL laser resurfacing treatment can be used on the face, neck, chest and hands.
The MicroLaserPeel involves a similar procedure to the NanoLaserPeel, with a pre-treatment skin consultation and application of topical anesthetic. The Contour TRL device will then be moved over the treatment area, and you may experience a light popping or snapping sensation. After the treatment, Dr Ghafoor will provide you with post-treatment care and instructions for protecting your skin while it heals.
Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure usually lasts between 30-60 minutes. The downtime you will require will depend on the depth of your individual treatment, but the typical downtime for the MicroLaserPeel is 4-14 days (depending on the depth). Your skin should heal fully within a week or two.
Initial results will become apparent approximately two weeks after your treatment, once your skin has naturally exfoliated and the results of increased collagen production become visible. You will notice continuous improvement in skin tone, texture, and laxity for up to six months after your treatment. Optimum results can be achieved in 1-3 treatments. You can maintain your results by scheduling further treatments as frequently as every 6-8 weeks.
